Ireen Dimba (front) is a smallholder from Chikumbu growing club, Balntyre District.  She farms half an acre and often struggles to grow enough food for her family of 7.  To suplement her income during times of food insecurity she produces charcoal.  She understands that by cutting down trees on hillsides for charcoal production she increases the potetnial for localised flooding to take place, but says she has no choice.  "I have to feed my family tomorrow I cannot worry about what happens in 6 months".  MML's programme provides a solution to this viscious cycle by offering a sustainable means to generate income.  Ireen says "I have been able to find school fees for my children since working with Moringa Miracles."
